Heceta Head
Lighthouse in Yachats, Oregon
Pronounced “Ha – SEE – Ta”, Heceta Head is one of the most
beautiful lighthouses in the world. The lighthouse is a working
lighthouse. From a height of 205 feet above the ocean, it’s “first
order” Fresnel lens, casts it’s beams some 21 miles out to sea. It
is the brightest light on the Oregon coast. It is said to be the
most photographed lighthouse in the United States. The Queen Anne
style Keeper’s House has been restored to its original splendor. It
now serves as an Interpretive Center by day and a Bed and Breakfast
by night.

East Brother Lighthouse Bed
and Breakfast in Point Richmond, CA
East Brother Light Station, Inc., was formed in 1979 to
restore the landmark and make it accessible to the public.
Through government grants, private donations, and countless
hours of volunteer labor, the structures on the island were
restored. Today, day use fees and funds received through the
operation of the lighthouse as a bed and breakfast are used
to maintain the facilities. Five rooms are available on East
Brother Island. Four are former keeper's quarters located in
the historic lighthouse itself. Each room, named for its
view, is unique in decor and has a queen-sized bed.

Big Bay
Point Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast in Big Bay, Michigan
In 1986, the two story brick building and its adjoing
60-foot-high, square tower were converted into a
bed-and-breakfast. The 14-room inn has seven guest rooms
with private baths, a common living room, and library, as
well as a sauna. Guests enjoy all the conveniences of modern
life with the exception of individual television and phones.
In addition, more than three acres of lawn, 40 acres of
woods with trails are at the disposal of guests. The
lighthouse has seven cozy rooms with private baths, most

Goose Rocks Lighthouse of
the coast of North Haven, Maine
A magical Redwood Treehouse located it the beautiful Santa
Cruz Mountains. There is a livetree growing right through
the main living area and another in the bathroom! It is
simply incredible. It was built by my friend, Randy, a
stained glass artist about ten years ago. Everyone who sees
it are delighted by it. It has a delicious high bed, a
kitchen with a small stove and refrigerator, and typical
cooking tools. There is a full bathroom with shower and
toilet of course.

Cordova Rose Lodge, Barge,
and Lighthouse in Alaska
The Cordova Rose Lodge is located on the shore of Orca
Inlet. This lodge is the most unique bed and breakfast in
Cordova, Alaska. It is a barge with its very own lighthouse.

channel. Current owners, Gaye and Gary McDowell took over
