Odd Inn of the Week - The Wild Turkey Bed & Breakfast

The Wild Turkey Bed and Breakfast is just a 15 minute drive from historic Galena, Illinois, and right next door to The Galena Territory. Our country home, located on 26 scenic acres, offers a restful setting with lovely views in every direction. Our neighbors are deer, who visit our back yard, flocks of wild turkey roosting in our trees, and a multitude of birds that visit our bird feeders. This Inns is protected with a conservation easement to make sure its natural character and habitat are preserved for future generations. This B&B is furnished with antique treasures to create a farmhouse atmosphere. Each guest room has a private bath and the house is air-conditioned for your summer comfort. Relax with your morning coffee on our deck or screened porch. In cooler weather enjoy the same views from our sunny dining room or great room where you will find a fire most mornings. Their full breakfasts are guaranteed to satisfy the heartiest of appetites.
Many guests enjoy a hike to our pond where we have benches for quiet contemplation. The pond is stocked with large mouth bass waiting to be caught. Some guests rise to the challenge of biking the hilly terrain. Others prefer reading in a lounge chair on our quiet deck. Swimming is available during the summer months for no extra fee at a beautiful outdoor pool just a five-minute drive away. The Shenandoah riding center is located nearby and is open all year. Wild Turkey guests can use the facility at a discounted rate. Galena with its historic charm and great shopping is just 15 minutes away.
