Bali Hut Treehouse in Pahoa, Hawaii
The Bali
Hut Treehouse in Pahoa is located in a tropical setting of a
forrested Ohia Grove on a 1 acre Gated property in Leilani Estates
on the Big Island of Hawaii. This treehouse is 10 feet off the
ground puts the Balihut up in the tall Ohia trees and Tropical
Vegetation. Pahoa and Puna are ecclectic and still has the old
Hawaii Charm. Strictly off the tourist radar, this is one of
Hawaii's best kept secrets. Abundant with attractions including
volcanos, surfing beaches and hot ponds this is a must for the
adventurer with an affordable budget. This is a hut in the trees,
comfortable, clean and exotic.
Review of the Bali Hut Treehouse
It's one thing to see Hawaii, but to get a real feel for it, we would recommend
the Bali Hut tree House. Being on the rainy side of the island was our first
concern, and it was definitely raining upon our arrival. I called from Hilo to
announce our location and get directions, and within 40 minutes we were pulling
into a driveway surrounded by jungle. And, while others have mentioned the
non-stop sound of frogs, we looked at it as a welcoming to our surroundings.
Eddie so graciously greeted us and guided us to our "room," pausing briefly to
point out a small lava tube alongside the entry path. And, better than any red
carpet, we soon found ourselves at the bottom of a freshly built stairway
leading up to this very private nest among the trees. While most might call it
small, we felt it was cozier and homier than any hotel or resort, and
immediately settled in for the night. If we had any regrets during the 2 nights
we stayed, it was that we hadn't reserved more time here. Easily one of the
highlights to our honeymoon/wedding trip, and a good spot to stay while
exploring the southeast side of the Big Island. Information provided by
