Tall firs, flora and fauna surround the property and make for peaceful walks on the trails traversing the property and leading to the beach with great varied character...sandy beach, rocky beach, oyster beach, clam digging beach, a private beach of excitement and/or quiet solitude in one of natures most special places. Pirates Creek flows gently through the property to Pirates Cove on Puget Sound in the summer months and roars like a Pirate in winter. Shiver Me Timbers!!! Pirates Cove Caboose sleeps up to 8 with a queen, queen sofa bed and 2 hand made bunks. A full kitchen, bathroom with shower for two and the bedroom were important additions in the remodel. The Caboose is the result of the dreams and passion for trains of Group Health physicians Edward and Susannah Taylor who purchased and moved the Great Northern Caboose to their treasured Puget Sound waterfront property in 2001. The highest quality materials were used throughout the remodel. The iron base and hardwood floors were preserved. New walls and a higher ceiling were built in the style of the original Great Northern Caboose. The Bedroom and living room windows offer expansive views of Puget Sound. Everything faces the water - Dining room, Living room, Bedroom, outdoor fire pit, BBQ, Picnic tables and chairs... all maximize the enjoyment of the waterfront setting.
