Frost Mountain Yurts in Brownfield, Maine

Frost Mountain Yurts in Brownfield, Maine

Frost Mountain Yurts is open Year Round. Their eco-friendly and pet-friendly yurts cater to families, couples and small groups who are looking for accessible outdoor fun. Frost Mountain invites you to an enjoyable excursion into the back woods of western Maine on our private 60 acres and surrounded by wooded land. These yurts are located just south of the village of Fryeburg and minutes away from all the Mount Washington Valley amenities. All four yurts are nestled in their own private setting. Staying in the yurt is your accommodations and entertainment all in one. Once you settle in, you don't need to get into your car again as we have our own private network of hiking and XC ski and snowshoe trails that leave right from the yurts. Great sledding in the field through the apple trees as well! These yurts are also directly connected to the international snowmobile trail network that is open to skiers and trekkers for longer loops. Or just kick back and relax, unwind and do nothing.

Looking for more adventure? Outside the yurt you can follow the snowmobile trail that leads to the summit of Frost Mountain with stunning views of Mt Washington, the presidential range and the beautiful valleys of the Maine and New Hampshire border. Just down the street is the beautiful and quaint Lovewell Pond with a public boat launch and is a popular access point to the Saco River. Enjoy skiing, skating, fishing, canoeing & kayaking. Frost Mountain Yurts offer use of snowshoes for a minimal fee to all guests but you need to call to reserve due to limited availability.
